June is Pride month
We exist because :
We need to build community including affinity spaces that are queer specific and we also need spaces that invite people to come together
Our schools are struggling
Access to equitable health care can be challenging
To build community, find joy, and help problem solve some of these challenges
Rainbow Royale Prom July 15th North Bend Community Center (all inclusive) / Register for a ticket
Time Bomb and South Coast Hospice Thrift are drop off places and are having special shopping hours for this

De-escalation training has closed
Q - Cafe is an adult meeting space dates coming up Coos and Curry
Workshops:
Queer and BIPOC youth in Coos & Curry hopefully will youth lead - meeting once a month
When youth and adults come together consistently and create a safe space for sharing deep stories come out are significant
Gender Affirmation Closet - Coos & Curry anyone that identify as Trans or Gender Expansive can apply for funding for transportation to medical appointments, clothing, travel, items etc.
Volunteers with lived experience offer information they learned to others who are less certain about needs
Feedback is positive — feeling seen and supported

Safe Zone - kind of a level up so to speak
Coos Bay School district around new guidelines that came out through ODE gender expansive students and their rights
Queers & Allies meeting every Thursday 5-7pm every Thursday except the first Thursday - youth specific (13-24)
Curry is in process of creating theirs
Pride Book Club through the Chetco Library - youth - they have a potluck one Wednesday and the other is talk about the book
Invites everyone to be present in our current government and school board meetings to keep things going in an inclusive direction
