Community Partnerships

United Way of Southwestern Oregon is proud to support local projects and groups who are not registered 501(c)(3) agencies, who are working toward a better community for residents of Coos and Curry Counties. Current fiscal sponsorships include:

Southern Oregon Coast Pride: Southern Oregon Coast Pride exists to conduct events that foster hope and provide support for LGBTQIA+ youth and adults, educate about LGBTQIA+ issues and resources, and collaborate with allied individuals and community groups. A note from the organizers:

“After the success of Pride-in-the-Park in 2019, full leadership of the annual event has transitioned into the hands of local community members.  We are gearing up for the next Pride Celebration on the Southern Oregon Coast, and are looking for support both financially and in terms of people-power.  Follow our Facebook page for information on upcoming fundraisers, community education events, and other chances to get involved.

It is important to the Pride Steering Committee that we maintain the family-friendly environment from last year, and build upon that success by bringing in more vendors, entertainment, and community organizations. Offering a free community meal is also something which sets us apart, and is what we seek to maintain. If you would like to become more involved, please reach out to the committee at:  We welcome your involvement!”
